This policy applies to perchplaytoys.lol and to anything you send us through it. "Perch Play", "we", "us" and "our" mean Neeraj Preenand, trading as PerchPlay (Perch Play by Team Urban Play), of B-004, Renaissance Exotica, Opp. Sobha Ultima, Jakkur Plantation Road, Yelahanka Hobli, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560064.
We wrote this to be read, not skimmed past. The short version: we collect only what we need to tell you about Perch Play and to sell you one, we never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
1. What we collect
Details you give us
When you join the waitlist, reserve a set, or ask to be told when a colourway is ready, we collect:
- your full name
- your email address
- your phone number
- your city or location
- how many sets you're interested in, and which colourway
When you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email, we receive whatever you choose to tell us, along with your number or email address.
When you buy, we (and our payment and checkout providers, see section 5) collect what is needed to take payment and deliver your order: your name, delivery address, phone number, email address and order details.
Details collected automatically
When you load a page, our own analytics records:
- the page you visited, and the website that linked you to it, if any
- whether you're on a phone, tablet or computer, and your screen width
- a random visitor code and a random session code, created in your browser
These codes are not linked to your name, email or phone, and our analytics does not record your IP address or location. Some of the services described in section 3 do receive your IP address and browser details as a normal part of delivering a web page.
The Colour it yourself designer
Designs you make in the designer stay in your browser. We don't save or receive them. If you use "Save a picture", the image is saved to your own device.
2. How we use it

We process your personal data because you gave us your consent by submitting it, or because it is necessary to fulfil an order you placed, or to meet a legal obligation. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 7). Withdrawing it doesn't affect anything we did before.
We will not sell your personal data, and we will not send you marketing about anything other than Perch Play.
3. Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers to run this website. They process data on our behalf and only for the purposes described here:
- Supabase stores waitlist and reservation details and our page-view analytics. Its servers may be outside India.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and delivers its pages, and runs Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies.
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr deliver the fonts and some of the code the pages use. Your browser requests these directly, which shares your IP address with them.
- Meta (Facebook) receives data through the Meta Pixel, described in section 4.
- Razorpay and Shopify handle payments and checkout, described in section 5.
- Google Workspace handles our email.
- Courier and delivery partners receive the name, address and phone number needed to deliver your order.
We may also disclose personal data if the law requires it, for example to comply with a court order or a lawful request from a government authority.
4. Cookies and similar technology
Our own analytics uses no cookies. It stores the random visitor and session codes described in section 1 in your browser's local storage, which you can clear at any time in your browser settings.
Our pages include the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms. It sets cookies and sends Meta information about your visit, such as the pages you view, together with information Meta may already hold if you use Facebook or Instagram. We use it to measure our adverts. Meta's own use of this data is governed by Meta's Privacy Policy, and you can control ads based on it in your Facebook ad preferences. You can also block these cookies with your browser's settings or a tracker-blocking extension; the site still works.
If you are a member of our team and sign in to the admin area, your browser stores a sign-in session so you stay signed in.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by Razorpay (Razorpay Software Private Limited), and checkout may be provided by Shopify. When you pay, you enter your card, UPI or bank details on their secure pages, not ours. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking passwords.
They share with us what we need to fulfil and support your order, such as your name, contact details, the amount paid, a payment reference and whether the payment succeeded. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.
6. How long we keep it
- Waitlist and reservation details: until Perch Play or the colourway you asked about is available and we have told you, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first.
- Order details: for as long as the law requires us to keep records of sales, invoices and tax.
- Page-view analytics: for as long as it is useful for understanding how the site is used. It does not identify you.
- Messages: for as long as needed to deal with what you asked, and any follow-up.
When we no longer need personal data, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you.
7. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it
- correct, complete or update it
- delete it, or take you off the waitlist
- stop processing it, by withdrawing your consent
- let someone else exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become unable to
To do any of these, email neeraj@perchplaytoys.lol from the address you gave us, or contact the grievance officer in section 11. We may need to confirm who you are before acting. We will respond as soon as we can, and within the time the law allows.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
8. Children
Perch Play is a toy for children aged 1 to 7, but this website is for the parents, carers, teachers and other adults who buy it. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
9. Security
Our database only lets the public add a waitlist entry or a page view. Reading it requires a signed-in team account that we have approved. The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and card payments are handled entirely by our payment providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data, and we will tell you and the authorities if a breach puts it at risk, as the law requires.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how we use details you already gave us, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
